Stanley research teams conducted interviews with pro's on-site and discovered that wood chisels are no longer regarded as a mere carpenters' tool and are instead being used for a broad range of applications.

The research showed that chisels actually take a lot of abuse on-site and therefore need to be durable and strong.

Research findings also highlighted that 38% of respondents would make a purchasing decision based on the durability of the chisel and 21% of respondents stated that it must have a strike cap.

As a result of this research, Stanley has launched a new FatMax chisel with a superior thru tang design, making the handle 50% stronger than its predecessor, the Dynagrip Pro.

The steel strike cap can be used with a steel hammer for increased strength at point of contact and an ergonomic soft grip handle offers maximum grip and control.

The blade is constructed from ball bearing grade quality chrome alloy which provides superior edge retention and for added safety, the chisel comes with a full blade guard.

The new upgraded DynaGrip Wood Chisel also comes with a strike cap, ready made for abuse on site and comes pre-sharpened - ready for immediate use.

There are 18 blades widths available, as well as 3 or 5 piece sets.
