Stanley's latest addition to the company's range of intellitools is a MetalSensor which can be set to detect either iron, copper or steel up to 75mm deep.
The MetalSensor uses electronic signals to locate the position of metal objects or live AC wires through common building materials.
An audio buzzer alerts the user when an object is detected and the LCD display informs the user of the depth of the object to a depth of up to 75mm and to an accuracy of +/-7mm.
A pencil line marked in the sensor's centre recess quickly notes the location of the object's edge.
The sensor can be set to detect metals or live wires ( up to 220V and 50mm deep) separately or together.
Live wires are indicated by a red LED, whilst metals are indicated by a yellow LED.
The MetalSensor requires a 9-volt battery and has an automatic shut-off feature for longer battery life.
The MetalSensor completes Stanley's existing range of 6 intellitools.
